Wulfshon fue concebido como una "ONE MAN BAND" (banda de un solo hombre), creada por Matthias Wulfshon, aproximadamente en el año 2004.

Influenciado tanto por el Symphonic/Melodic Black Metal (Catamenia, Hecate Enthroned, Stormlord, Anorexia Nervosa, Dimmu Borgir, Tvangeste) como por el Viking Folk Metal (Ensiferum, Vintersorg, Folkearth, Amon Amarth, Moonsorrow, Manegarm) y por el folk nórdico típico de Escandinavia.
Con respecto a la lírica, la temática es la reivindicación de las raíces nórdicas y los valores vikingos relacionados a la concepción universal y la energía cósmica.
En el mes de marzo de este año, se grabó un EP que cuenta con dos temas de lo que será el LP. Este se llama "Awaiting the Ragnarok" (Esperando el Ragnarok).
En la mitología nórdica, Ragnarok ("destino de los dioses") es la batalla del fin del mundo. Esta batalla será supuestamente emprendida entre los dioses (los Æsir, liderados por Odín) y los demonios (los gigantes de fuego, los Joutuns y varios monstruos liderados por Loki). No sólo los dioses, gigantes, y monstruos perecerán en esta conflagración apocalíptica, sino que casi todo en el universo será destruido.
En este ultimo mes Wulfshon esta buscando llegar a los escenarios de la escena del metal extremo. Por lo tanto se encuentra en busqueda de musicos para integrar este proyecto y llevar la musica en Vivo.
